KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., July 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS) announced today that its Board of Directors voted to pay a cash dividend of $0.08 per share on September 15, 2004 to shareholders of record as of September 1, 2004.

Effective July 21, 2004, UHS expanded its Board of Directors with the appointment of Robert A. Meister, Vice Chairman of Aon Group, Inc., the global insurance brokerage and risk consulting reinsurance and employee benefits division of Aon Corporation. He brings to UHS 30 years of experience as a distinguished member of the global risk management community and is highly respected for his exemplary leadership of international brokerage firms.
